Academic Department Internship Listings

Many academic departments and concentrations maintain lists of internship opportunities. Several also send out listings to students in the department via email. If you do not receive these emails, check with the administrative assistant in the department.

• Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has a couple of opportunities listed. The Office of Sponsored Programs and Research provides information on individual research/funding. Volunteer opportunities are listed on the prehealth site.
• Bioinformatics has a searchable job and internship database.
• Environmental Science has an internship page where previous internships are listed.
• Geography lists undergraduate research funding opportunities.
• Global Environmental Studies lists employers that take interns for research and active learning opportunities.
• The History department has a short list of internships as well as profiles of student research and internship experiences on the department website.
• Holocaust and Genocide Studies keeps an extensive list of opportunities on the Career Development Blog. There are also profiles of student research and internship experiences on the department website.
• Physics has a list of undergraduate research opportunities on its site.
• Political Science links to the Washington Center Internship Program and The Harrington Fellowship.
• Psychology has information on undergraduate research opportunities.
• Screen Studies has internship and study abroad/away information on its site.
• The Stevenish Career Management Center in the Graduate School of Management has information about past internships, career outcomes, events, and other resources.
• Urban Development and Social Change internship opportunities and summer fellowships are listed on their site.
